The Demarketeer

I have decided to create this blog because I can’t keep my rants to myself about the sorry state of our economy and culture. People on the subway are starting to think i’m weird when I shake my fist at posters.

I have been employed directly and indirectly by the advertising industry for the last few years and have developed the debilitating condition of a conscience. Blogging is apparently the only cure.

Even though I’m just one of the construction workers doing the grunt work of IT, (certainly not a “thought leader”), that is no excuse. If you feel that there is something morally wrong about the way that some products and services are marketed to people, check out my blog and tell me what you think.

What is a demarketeer, you ask? I like to say it as “dee-market-eer” as it sounds almost like a person saying “the racketeer” if they can’t pronounce ‘th’ and and they confuse ‘racket’ with ‘market’… or… we could just say that I made it up randomly
